Recently I've
- Moved back to Seattle
- Learned that school is five times more expensive here than california
- Started more art classes anyways
- Have been Going skiing 2-3 times a week after not having been in over a decade (in the best shape I've been in years now)
- Re-learned how inconvenient rain is (can't take the garbage out at 1am in t-shirt and shorts???)
- Learned that Seattle has worse traffic then San Diego (by far!)
- Been so busy lately that I'm hardly on the computer anymore (sorry DA friends )

Skiing
I made a youtube account so I could upload videos of from skiing if anyone is interested: http://www.youtube.com/user/Ihateyoufailtube?feature=mhw4#p/u
I'm the one skiing in all black with the kitty face made out of reflective tape on my back. Can't really see that it's me though cause I'm usually wearing a mask. My nose runs if I don't keep it covered from the cold.
Going to school again
Today was my first day of class. A few months back I decided I should take some sort of art class, especially considering my proximity to the college. So after some debate I signed up for yoga and intro to painting. Didn't get into yoga but made it into painting 107. The instructor seems nice, the class is dominated by girls, which I find noteworthy because I never thought of painting as being only a feminine activity.
My experience with painting in the past only really includes some crappy attempts in highschool art class and a few failed attempts on my own since then, so I think this class will be a rewarding experience. One emphasis
Mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
Watch the network if you haven't, it's a must see... Now for some long winded ranting (crosspost):
The real problem here is capitalism; the idea that a profit driven society will somehow serve the needs of the people and not individual greed... Which of course is completely absurd if you look at it for more than a 5 seconds.
What we really need is a new construct for society which somehow rewards altruism and community building rather than greed and seperatism. We need to view ourselves as a single entity that can either work together for the greater good of all, or can continue to divide ourselves, fight among ourselves, compete with one
Zeitgeist
Feel no need to read my ramblings as I do seem to go on a bit long, just watch the movies (yes, both of them!) feel free to skip the first 5-10 minutes the intro is quite long and a bit boring.
